Art Start Challenge Week Two

Art start challenge week two - this week was bit harder. Not everything worked but overall I still learnt a lot and came up with some interesting ideas.

My favourites were the line and wash illustration I did in rebelle and the pattern I did in infinite painter. Some of the ideas in my thumbnails were quite cool too so I might explore these a bit more down the track. You can see these below.

I did one prompt with watercolour pencils but I didn’t really like the colouring. I am still learning about layering so I won’t be too hard on myself for this one. I plan on doing a lot more watercolour pencils when I am in India at the end of the month so I should get a lot better then!

Here were all the prompts with a description of what I drew:

1. Create an illustration with the theme light and shadow - I drew a shadow hand puppet

2. Create a composition with arcs and round edges - I drew a dragon in a cave

3. Tiny art - draw 9 thumbnails. You can check that one out below

4. Decorative - create a pattern with your favourite colours. I choose a sea theme for this one and you can see that one below.

5. Wash - add colour to a line art drawing from last week. I choose the monster and the bee drawing as I really liked this one

6. Still life - I choose to draw one of my favourite toys as a kids a popple.

I can wait to see what comes next week. You can follow along with my progress in real time on instagram.
